Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information TimerBright (“we,” “us”) and our service providers and advertising partners collect when you visit timerbright.com or use the installed app (the “site”), how it is used, and the choices you have.

Without an account, your data stays on your device

You can use every Timer and the Focus app without an account. In that case, Timer presets, Kids mode settings, Focus app projects, sessions, points, badges and rewards are stored only in your browser’s local storage on your device. We do not receive or store them. Clearing your browser data deletes them.

Optional accounts (18+)

If you create an account, we store: your email address and/or Google account ID, your handle, display name, avatar and bio, your privacy settings, and the Focus app data and Timer presets you choose to sync. We ask your birth year only to confirm you are 18 or older and do not store it. Sign-in emails are sent through our email provider (Resend). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and Google account ID from Google.

Community features

If you use partners, groups or the community feed, we store the sessions you share (length, and project name only if you turn that on), reactions, comments, cheers, rewards you give or receive, follows, blocks and reports. Sharing is limited to partners and your groups by default; you control this in your account settings. Moderators may review reported content.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, alerts are shown by your browser. If you turn on push alerts, we store your browser’s push subscription (an anonymous address from your browser’s push service, such as Google, Mozilla or Apple) and, for scheduled Timer alerts, the alert time and text, so we can send the alert even when the page is closed. Scheduled alerts are deleted within a day after they are sent.

Keeping and deleting your data

You can download or permanently delete your account and synced data at any time from your account page. Deleted accounts are removed from our database right away (backups expire within 30 days).

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare), analytics providers and advertising partners automatically receive standard technical information when you visit, such as IP address and approximate location, browser and device type, pages viewed, and cookie or advertising identifiers.

Advertising

Timer pages are supported by ads. We work with Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-2094291923307803) and may work with other ad networks. Ad partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve personalized or non-personalized ads, measure performance and prevent fraud. The Focus app shows no ads.

Children and Kids mode

Our Kids Timers and Kids mode are designed to be used by children with a parent or teacher. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13: Kids mode can’t be used with an account, there are no child profiles, chat or uploads, and anything entered in Kids mode stays on the device. Accounts and community features are for adults 18 and older. On Kids Timer pages and whenever Kids mode is on, we request non-personalized ads only. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before we or our ad partners use cookies for personalized ads, measurement or analytics. You can change your choices on our Cookie Policy page.

Global Privacy Control

We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising for that browser.

Your U.S. state privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and of targeted advertising. To opt out, use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link or enable GPC. For other requests, email [email protected].
