How to use the Sand Timer
- Pick a length (3 minutes is the classic Egg Timer).
- Press Start and watch the sand fall.
- Choose a sound, or "Silent" for a quiet Timer.
- Go full screen for board games or the classroom.
Sand Timers are great for board games, brushing teeth, turn-taking, tea and short breaks. Unlike a real hourglass, this one can be any length and can play a sound when it is done.

Questions
Can I make the Sand Timer silent?
Yes. Choose "Silent" as the sound.
Will it make a sound when time is up?
Yes. Pick a sound under "Style, color & sound" and press Test to check your volume. On phones, make sure silent mode is off.
Can I get a notification in another tab?
Yes. Turn on notifications and you will get an alert when the Timer finishes while this page is open in the background.
Does it work offline or as an app?
Yes. TimerBright works offline after your first visit, and you can install it to your home screen or desktop like an app.
